    no

I have a set, but I never use them. You dont need them unless your doing a triathlon, or a time trial. Any other time and its a waste. I know sevral guys who use them all the time, they even use them in the pace line. I dont ride with them anymore. The thing is that in a group, its not only not practical, but its dangerous, dont do it. If I ever find myself needing to get into that position, like on a break or time trialing, I find it comfortable to get into that same position by resting my arms on the bars.

That being said, they should help you quite a bit on your tri's. And mine are profile designs.

I use profile aero bars on my bike as I do tri's but even riding in a pack (of triathletes) you would never get down on them - too dangerous.
