Does anyone here use energy gels while riding?



Didn't know about gels until now. I've experience with drinks, smoothies, cereal bars, all of those who can serve as energy boosters, but honestly not gels. Usually I don't by any booster, I rather prepare myself one, adding oatmeal, honey, coffee, coconut water, chia seeds, bananas or papayas. Not a fan of commercial bottled drinks or mixes, usually they contain sugar and tons of chemical stuff.
 
I haven't heard about it. Energy gels sound interesting. But since I haven't heard much about it, I probably won't try it any time soon.
