Does Edward Dolan actually own and ride a recumbent?

Last year the cat situation got completely out of control and so I am now
saddled with 8 cats, 4 are female and 4 are male. Do you have any idea how
much it costs to get them fixed? Screw that. And so I have embarked on a
policy of keeping the males and females separated from one another at all
times. They cannot be together for even a single second - or I will end up
with even more cats.

But I love the dear little creatures. When I enter their domain (the
kitchen) they jump all over me and purr ever so loudly when I pet them and
play with them. Believe it or not, they help to keep me sane. When you live
alone like I do, you need some companionship. Cats are God's gift to
mankind.

I must admit I do not ride my bikes as much as I used to. Old age is
creeping up on me. Anyone here think that old age is not going to get you
too? If so, I have a revelation for you. No matter how much you struggle
against the ravages of time, you are going to succumb and right on schedule.
Trust me on this. You are as mortal as any man who ever lived and died.

By the way, I think this is the perfect epitaph. It embodies all the wisdom

Here's an experiment well worth trying: Mr Ed should take a hiatus
from the group and we'll see if anyone fills that particular void.
Hmmm. What do you get when you remove a vacuum?

There is no way Guy Chapman of England is ever going to get rid of me so
easily. When I am gone from this group, it immediately becomes a cesspool of
mostly liberal posts. There are a few other sane conservative types here,
but it is nevertheless a constant battle to keep the liberals in their
place, which is at the bottom of the dung heap. Why should total idiots be
allowed to dominate the threads here on ARBR with their execrable opinions.
Not as long as I still have breath in my body and am above ground.

Is there anything in this world more contemptible than an English liberal?
Their dumbness even exceeds any American dumbness, which is saying a lot.
They have been on the wrong side of history for the past half century. Ever
the handmaiden of dictators and tyrants. Guy Chapman is nothing but another
Chamberlain. Screw these g.d. English liberals all the way to Hell and back!

The thought is close enough, but it does not capture the nihilistic despair
which mine does. My epitaph (originally found on a headstone in Ohio) is
pure and consists of the least amount of words possible. It is just so
concise. It is what all atheists like myself must learn to accept and live
with.

We humans are merely animals like all other animals and their fate is our
fate. That is why I HATE hunters and others who would kill other animals for
sport. Every time I eat some meat I say a prayer for the poor beast who had
to die in order for me to live. Anyone who does not do this is a monster.
Let me repeat this - anyone who does not do this is a monster. Is Christian
morality superior to mine in this respect? I think not.

This old world is one hell of a sad place. When I think deeply on the
conditions of life I am thrown into deep depression. If I had been God I
would have made the world differently. As the trucks go by carrying the pigs
to their slaughter at the meat packing plant, I am feeling as low as it is
possible for a human being to feel. I almost want to kill myself too just to
get out of this mess.

I am not happy with the way life operates in the world. Animal suffering
affects me as deeply as human suffering. And suffering is all I ever see
around me every day. Where we all get the courage to go on living is an
amazing thing. I decided long ago not to spend my life cursing God. He
probably did the best job that He could do.

The world is what it is, but we should approach it as a kind of sacrament. I
pray to the beasts who give me life and I pray to the sun which gives me
life. I do not know these invisible Gods that the Christians and the Muslims
pray to.

The only ones that have been driven away from ARBR are those who did not
like to be contested on their liberal views. We are better off without them.
They should not have been posting their obscenities in the first place if
they didn't want to hear the other side of things.

This kind of rot is just another way of expressing hatred for women, who are
mostly cat fanciers. I charge McTavish with being a woman hater. It is all
so obvious. The only question is does he have the guts to confront his wife
with his hatred of her. Most likely not. Instead he displaces his hatred of
his wife onto cats. Just how low and despicable can you get. If I were
McTavish I would blow my brains out and be done with it.

May the cats **** on his miserable bones. They are far better than him. He
is going to Hell for sure and the cats are ALL going to Heaven.

We like it very much so, only problem is that we don't get out on it very
often. Family commitments (sister-in-law in a nursing home among other
things) and the weather this last year made it difficult to get out. On the
up side it is so comfortable that you can jump on it and go for quite a long
ride. You don't have to work up your fitness level (good for my wife) as
long as you stay on the flats (Lake Erie shore line). We do the
"Ride-4-Roswell" in Buffalo every year and this year the wife didn't get out
at all before we went. We did 33 miles and she was know worse for wear.
I'm hoping to add the IPS that Vision once sold. Someone else bought the
rights to it and is available again, good winter project. IMO that will
make it the best ride around.
