Does rough rode plus big belly equal carbon

I am about 205lbs and am looking to drop about 25. I have ridden for many years and currently ride a Scott Speedster S1. I like the bike but will be ready for an upgrade soon. I have to hit a couple miles of some pretty rough roads to get to my usual ride. While they are paved, some have not seen fresh pavement for many years. Will my weight, combined with the rough roads, be too much for a carbon frame? How reliable is carbon? Thanks in advance.

from my understanding carbon would be ideal. It is extremely strong and dampens the shock. I believe the only instances of frame "failure" are due to collisions and crashes where the frames shatter apart. Aside from that... check out the specialized Roubaix, I've heard it like riding a cloud.
Sorry I don't have personal experience with carbon, but I'm in a similar situation, I'm 220 and am purchasing a carbon frame this spring after oodles of reasearch.
