Hello !
Do you know sth about the Shimano conception of changing the position of
idexing mechanism from the handlebar closer to the front derailleur ? I
heard that sth like that has been done by Shimano. Do you maybe know the
name of this system ?

The one for the rear derailleur was called Positron, but I've not heard
of one for the front.
