I don't know why you limit yourself to Carolinas. You know that we drive 400 mi. to do doubles here in CA. Living in LosAngels area, going to Santa Rosa (Davis Double), Davis (Davis Double), Vacaville (Knoxville Double), are all over 400 mi. drives. There used to be 2 doubles in NJ but I've ridden neither.
There are still two doubles in NJ. They are the "Jersey Double," a hilly double century run by the Western Jersey Wheelmen, and the "Longest Day," which runs the entire lenngth of the state from High Point (northwest corner) to Cape May (southeast corner) and is run by the Central Jersey Bicycle club..
