Ok, what's your dream bike?

Post a link/url to your *ultimate* dream bike.

Stuff dreaming of Campy Record and carbon fiber exotica, this is it:

Hello Kitty Retro Cruiser Single Speed Bike: Blue

Only problem, whats the gear ratio on this little beauty? :D

images of frogs-in-blenders comes to mind LOL :)

have to be a freewheel, surely?

If I had dreams.. one of them would be about this bike:
http://www.on-one.co.uk/products/tiinbredebb.shtml

Only difference would be that it would use the Kona-styled
"funky dropouts" (TM) that slide the whole rear end allowing
rear disc brakes to be fitted.

There's too many exotic road bikes out there that I drool
over to post links to. But, if SuzyJ doesn't like my previous
Orbea "plastic" bike (you'll come around when you can lay
carbon Suzy ;-)) then how about one of these:

..looks for Scapin website.. fails.. posts more plastic instead:

http://www.sevencycles.com/bikes/elium.html Carb/Ti
http://www.sevencycles.com/bikes/eliumsteel.html Carb/Steel

or maybe one of the 50th anniversary Colnago's?

Either he can spin quite fast or he will be carrying
lots of replacement brake pads...

He could also fit brakes and just lift his feet off the
pedals.. oh the torture.. imagine getting tired and
dropping your feet..

Or, he could have a different gear for every uphill
and downhill :)

me thinks Thorn do a 'double-sided SS, having a different sized sproket either side of the hub so you can choose between the 2 by rotating the rear wheel. Sheldon Brown has done one too (but then again is there anything he hasnt?)

As for the dropping feet into spinning cranks/pedals
it could work really cool if you put 'sweeper' bars on and just
'put your feet up'

Yeah, there's quite a range of "flip-flop" hubs out there.
Most are for bmx use though I think. The coolest one I
know of is the White Industries "ENO" hub which is a
SS freewheel on one side and a fixed gear hub on the
other. Sheldon probably has a few of the dual freewheel
hubs for sale...

Now you're getting serious :)

This bike is a dream that's already been achieved :)

It's not new, but it feels like it. It's real steel. Light.
Stiff. Fast. Comfortable. And it's all mine :)

It the seat post looks a little more laid back than usual,
that's because it is. 53cm frame with 56cm top tube.

The Scapin site (you need Flash 6) is at

http://www.scapin.com/

I don't own one, but I have ridden a C50 with full 2004
Record, including carbon cranks, courtesy of a friend
who has one. Quite nice :) It doesn't feel as sharp as
my Scapin.

Schweet! It looks like an ad shot - very geometric
background :) Those forks look cool. Does it ever go out in
the rain? ;-)

Got some long arms eh? :)

I did find it the other day, but it wouldn't load, no matter
how much I prodded at it.. it works now though.

Cool, because I'd prefer the Scapin. It's that little bit
less common and steel is still real...
