Folks: Having come from a diamond frame world where I used a REGINA 14-16-18-21-28-32 on the the
rear wheel, I find myself at a loss in the bent world! With my Vision Sabre three rings in the front
(52-42-30) and using SPRAM Rocket shifters, I would like to have the following on the rear wheel
14-16-17-18-19-21-24-28-34. Is this possible and if so where do I get the SRAM/Shamino rear
cassette. Richard Rodgers

Harris Cyclery http://www.harriscyclery.com/ sells these. See :
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/k7.html#9cassettes

Close to what you want :

14-15-17-19-21-24-27-30-34

Sure it's possible. Read Sheldon's article about Shimano cassettes.

http://sheldonbrown.com/k7.html

It might involve a lot of mixing and matching, though. The 9-speed 14-25 looks like a tempting place
to start but the spider module prevents separation, at least with the Ultegra level model. Not sure
if that combination is available in HG-70 or HG-50 also.

I'm sure Sheldon can set you up as economically as is possible. Note that 8-speed cogs are only
1/50th of a milimeter thicker than 9-speed, so if you use the 9-speed spacers, 8-speed cogs will
work just fine. For that matter so will 7-speed cogs, as they are only another 1/20th of a
milimeter thicker.

Somebody else here may know a more practical way to do it?

Thanks for all your help. Called Harris and a custom cassette is under construction and soon will be
on its way. Richard Rodgers

How about 14-15-17-19-21-24-27-30-34? That's Sheldon Brown's custom "Cyclotouriste 14".

Buy a 9sp 13/32 from Sheldon Brown and take the 30 ring off and substitute a 28.
13,14,15,17,19,21,24,27,32. Should you ever get a 48t ring, you'll have very close to your ideal.
