dumb mistake, need help

Assuming that there is no cleat adapter plate(the part that the screws actual go through, if this is a standard SPD type) in the cleat, I would probably try to insert something like the rubberized handle end of a pair of pliers into the center cutout and rotate the cleat (inboard side towards the back, outboard towards front) as you would if you were unclipping your shoe from the pedal. You may want to try to back the release tension off as much as possible on the pedal beforehand.

The same happened to my last time I change the pedals, just use a screwdriver to unclipped.

Thanks, finally got it. It took more force than I would have guessed to both clip and unclip it, even with the pedal adjusted for the least amount of tension.
