Dura Ace 7703 Front Derailleur question

Is the Clamp type 7703 front derailleur the exact same derailleur as the
braze-on type but with the addition of the clamp? Or is the clamp
integrated into the derailleur? I assume clamps can be interchanged to
match the correct size down tube?

And is there really much difference between the 7703 front derailleur and
the 7803 front derailleur? I assume both would work fine with a 9 speed.
