Dura Ace AX on GIOS Aerodynamic

I have an old GIOS, Aerodyanmic model frame with the tapped hole for
Shimano dura ace AX shifters downtube shifters.

I have two problems. One is that these shifters can barely hold a gear
in place under mild out of the seat honking.

Also the internal stop plates are not the same. They are cut so that
the left shifter for front der can not travel as far forward as right
shifter for rear der. Was this meant to be so that in the most common
gears the levers are in the same position for aero-ness? Or is this
just a defect in which some parts got mixed up?

Was there a Campy version of a downtube shifter for this frame. I
can't imagine Italian teams using GIOS during this period had shimano
on it.

Anyone have some of those rubber top tube cable guides/plug for
internal routing for this frame for sale?

thanks,
Ernie
