Dura Ace cleat question

I have Shimano PDR540 pedals but I'm looking to get some Dura Ace pedals. Question: If I get the Dura Ace pedals and new cleats, can I use those new cleats on my 540 pedals still? ie. are there difference cleats for different pedals in the Shimano range?

I want to put the 540's on another bike and be able to ride both bikes without changing cleats.

I believe the PD-R540s are SPD-SL type pedals, which means the cleats that come with the Dura-Ace pedals will fit your old pedals as well. The PD-7800s are a fine choice. I recently upgraded to them from my old PD-7401s, and they are excellent. Enjoy!
