  1. Well I don't know about Marathon Plus, but if you planning on fitting
    a set of Dutch Perfects you're going to need some 8 inch metal tyre
    levers - they're really really hard to fit (and remove).

    So now they're on, I hope the puncture strategy is that a flat is not
    merely less likely but almost impossible - you don't want to be
    dealing with these at the roadside - trust me. I'll have to carry
    around these heavy tyre levers now, maybe a better strategy would have
    been to stick with a tyre/rim combo that's easy to work with and deal
    with the punctures as and when they arrive. We'll see.

    I guess all you can do is keep the pressure up to minimize the risk of
    pinches, and keep your fingers crossed.

    I had no difficulty fitting a 20" Marathon Plus to my front wheel a
    couple of months ago. I haven't yet had cause to find out how hard it
    is to remove.

  3. Must be a function of the rims 'cos my DPs fitted OK on mavic 700c rims.

    fitting a new inner to sa's bike a while back the pluses where easyer
    than the marthons on my MTB which are a pig to get on or off.
