probably because they're a manufacturer.......their prices will be their wholesale prices for bike companies. They are the wolesalers, who then sell to the retailers. Generally, manufacturers don't like to disclose their prices to people like you and I.

The retail price is whatever the reseller is allowed to sell it for.... Generally refered to as the MSRP. This price is generally a floating figure that is set by the bike company. This ensures a fair markup or discount, which prevents their product from being perceived as cheap. The bike company also has an obligation to ensure that their prices fall within the acceptable scope of the frame manufacturer's guidelines and that they can ensure themselves a profit....
