Hi I apologise if I'm raising this question in the wrong place - but I'd be appreciative of any informed opinions... I train in a Korean martial art called Taekwon-Do. Quite an important part of our syllabus is the usage of rebreakable boards and bricks to demonstrate the effectiveness of our techniques. For my next grading, I have to break (or make 3 good attempts at breaking) a housebrick using a punch. Preparing my hands for this involves; * punching into a bucket of sand, to build skin callous around the area * punching a wooden target From a medical perspective, am I risking long term damage by doing this? Thanks in advance! Andy
