Eight cyclists die in head-on with car in southern Italy
A SPEEDING car has plowed head-on into a group of cyclists in southern Italy, killing eight of them. The driver had been smoking marijuana, police said. Bent, mangled bikes were strewn about the scene, and the sheet-draped corpses dotted the two-lane road near Lamezia Terme, in the Calabrian "toe" of boot-shaped Italy where the accident occurred on Sunday morning local time. The deceased riders were Fortunato Bernardi, Rosario Perri (55), Francesco Stranges (51), Vinicio Pottin (47), Giovanni Cannizzaro (58), Pasquale De Luca (35) and Domenico Palazzo. Wtf? How did all 8 of them die? That is unheard of. I've heard of really bad accidents where a guy on his bike gets smashed and thrown into the air and then gets up and walks away... so wow, 8 riders hit and 8 riders died, and all right there on the spot too, not in hospital. Asshole was smoking pot and speeding, went around the car infront of him, only to ... oh you know... freaking run down and kill 8 people. And as it always works out, the guy who causes the accident and kills everyone comes out just fine.
