Entries for the Sleepwell Hotels sponsored Isle of Man International Youth & Junior Tour topped the 100 mark this week. It’s the first time entries have hit the ton since the event was established only two years ago.

Some of the star riders confirmed so far include Jetse Bol, Pim Ligthart and Mitchell Huenders from the Netherlands who will race for Sleepwell Hotels, National Junior Ladies Champion Louise Maha of the Sutton CC, regular Revolution Future Stars riders Ross Yates and Tom Skubala and National Youth Circuit Race Champion Chris Worrall of the Manx Road Club. Add in most of the Regional British Cycling Talent Teams, a Welsh National Squad along with some strong teams from Team Scottish Provident Isle of Man, the Tour looks set to be a real classic event.

Further good news was received this week when Le Coq Sportif confirmed they will sponsor the Points Competition. The company whose rich heritage includes supplying leaders jersey's for the Tour de France will have a presence at the event, including representatives of their UK & Ireland distributors, Hedgehog Sports and a fully branded Mini Cooper car.

The events loyal title sponsors Sleepwell Hotels kindly provide special accommodation rates for travelling competitors and their families along with the Leaders Jerseys, race HQ/results centre and Prize Presentation.

The Tour takes place 28 - 30 April. For more information along with entry forms go to www.youthtour.co.uk or contact organiser Oliver Last on 07624 456146. Entries close 9 April.
