Would like to invite you to our unusual overnight 'Chain Gang Ride'.

Aimed at both the serious and relaxed rider, we have two separate Rides, Geelong 14th November and Cranbourne 21st November.

Both Rides are held on the 'relative' safety of a Criterium Track.
They start at 6pm, and conclude at Midday (Saturday) - and are aimed at all levels of Rider (including kids).

Not just a Bike Ride, it is a Camp out as well.

Do you think 18hrs is a lot for just one person??
That is why we will have a pit-stop area, and you ride in a relay-style - ALL NIGHT.

Want to challenge your mates in a time-trial??
Late night / Early morning, for a nominal fee, we will let you loose in the 'Under the Stars' Time Trial.

Come on, and get your Gang together.
(The Official Stuff)
Registration is $25.
It is a fundraiser for Cancer Support for Families Foundation, raising funds to support local families in financial need living with cancer.
We hope you also help by fundraising (we give you a Personal Page), but unlike some other rides we have no minimum limits!!

Hi Swampy
The criterium tracks are about 2km per lap.
Although we will have a most laps team awarded at the end, the event is targetted at both Serious and Relaxed riders. It is a relay-style ride, so most teams will have one rider on the track - if teams take the challenge to fundraise, they can earn extra rider spots on the track.
It is not an out-and-out race, as it is a fundraiser for cancer (which is why the first lap will just be for cancer survivors), but because it is in a fixed location we will have a range of entertainment and activities going on which will create an atmosphere aimed at a broad range of participants - which will make it more than of an experience than just lap after lap.
Hope that answers the question!!

But you're looking at over 300 laps. WTF! Do they have mandatory challenges like "down a liter of strong beer fast before carrying on?" :p

Teams will do several hundred laps, you are probably right.

There will be an overnight 5 or 10 lap time trial (for a $20 additional cost).

We will also have a range of entertainment in the evening and morning, and a range of activities to keep those not riding on the team occupied.

I hope you will get your Gang together!!!
