Can anyone out there tell me if maintaining a cycling speed of 22 mph for 5 miles is a good base for someone that just started seriously cycling?
I took an endurance test yesterday and was able to sustain the speed of 22 mph for 5 miles on the Computrainer. My Coach won't go into anymore details, at least not yet but is going with me to the gym next week to make sure I am doing the right lifting of weights/excercises correctly.
This was my first test with my Coach. I spent the last four months cycling with a group near my house and it has been fun watching the improvments take place.
I want to race next year but need to know if I have any realistic chance of winning these races and just not finishing.
