excel oxygen mountain bike

Thanks for the reply Zog, the bike looks similar, but has a different rear suspension setup and
smaller front fork units, 21 speed twist shifts and is a maroon colour with Excel on the headstock
and Oxygen decals on the sides of the frame. Also hand made in the UK stickers on it. It is a little
heavier than the Giant Coldrock, which if I remember right was a crome moly type frame and
considered light in its day ca 1990!! (I'm not a big spender!) I ride the old Formantine railway
line north from Aberdeen so suspension was considered when I looked for a second Cycle. I have seen
the Apollo bikes in Halfords, they are built heavier than the bike I have, and were generally 18"
frames with no downtube on the headstock so you could not raise the bars. They looked quite bulky
and would not allow me to get four bikes on my cycle carrier on the car. Thanks again for your
