Hello Dr Chung,
A month ago, you very kindly answered my question about differing bp
and pulse in each arm. A CT scan is now being organized.
Could you possibly answer another question? If someone has established
atherosclerosis,( inoperable blocked coronary artery, 100% stenosis
of carotid artery, and quite possibly peripheral artery disease ),
does the removal of a blockage(s) put extra strain on the heart? ie,
is it the heart having to work harder against the blockages, or does
the increase in volume of the circulatory system after blockage
removal cause an extra workload for the heart?
After an endarterectomy, a family member is having increased angina,
and I was interested in the mechanics and background.
Thanks, once again.
John
