Farrar captures stage win, moves into yellow jersey in Portugal

One of the latest Americans to join the UCI ProTour ranks, Tyler Farrar sprinted to victory in stage two of the GP CTT Correios de Portugal on Friday and moved into the leaderandrsquo;s jersey with two stages remaining. Farrar, a graduate of USA Cyclingandrsquo;s National Development Team, outsprinted South Africaandrsquo;s Robbie Hunter (Barloworld) in the field-sprint finish of the 196-kilometer stage from Povoa de Varzim to Oliveira do Barro, crossing the line in 5:06:37. The victory moved Farrar into the leader's jersey with two stages remaining in the 2.1-ranked UCI stage race.
