I have a rather large friend, 6'6" 217 (think Michael Jordan build) who is interested in a Felt F15. Will this bike's components be strong enough for someone of his weight knowing many of them are extremely lightweight? I know, of course, that they are strong enough not to fail for the average rider that buys this type of bike, but are they strong enough for someone 40-70 lbs heavier than their targeted buyer? Do they perhaps sacrifice a little too much strength for weight? Thoughts and opinions welcomed.

Felt have a max weight for each bike, rider+bike+equipment. I suggest you e-mail Felt Racing for the F15's details. Alternately any Felt Dealer should be able to look it up in the bike's manual.

You can go to the website, (www.feltracing.com) and ask Jim Felt himself, He's a good guy and will answer you honestly.
