I am coming to Sydney 15.10.2005 and willl stay for 3 weeks. I´m thinking to bring my roadbike with me. Is there any group who would take me to their pace for something like 100km tour?
http://www.sydneycyclingclub.org.au/regular.htm <- they do some regular rides from Centennial Park? Can I just go there for a ride?
Those times just look awfull 6am? Here in Finland we start earliest at 10am

Hi Teemu77

You can ride around Centennial Park without having to be part of a club if you wish. There's also Parramatta Park and Sydney Olympic Park (see below link) -

If you wish to ride with others you can possibly call one of the contacts in the ride calendar found in the following link -

Also, Renegade Cycles and Clarence St Cyclery organise group rides. Links for the stores as follows -

You will be coming at a good time as the week ending 23 October is Bicycle Week. From 21-23 October the Bicycling Australia Show will be on at the Sydney Olympic Park. There's also the Sydney Spring Cycle on the 23rd October. You have to register online for this via the Bicycle NSW site and there is a cost of AUD $40.00. Also, there's a limit of 10,000 riders. Registration is through the following link -

Have a great time when you're here. :)

Thanks for replys :)
Yes, I´m looking for group of roadcyclist to ride with because then its more fun and ofcourse I would also be quite lost in your big city alone.
So more info is taken and if somebody wants to contact me with private message it will be fine. I will be staying 15km North of Sydney center (Cromer).
