  1. My second time out on the bike this year, and I've just fallen off.
    Any advances on that?

Details all very boring: was nearly home; had come down the long
descent off the moors; emerging at a T-junction onto a busier
road with difficult visibility; emergency stop as car appeared
going fast at critical moment; front wheel not where I thought.
Minor grazes to left knee and left elbow.

    ???
like, not between the forks, or behind the centre of gravity?

Where was the front wheel? Had it disappeared into a sub-space vortex?

Glad you are not seriously hurt.

Behind the centre of gravity happened, though the mystery is
what happened immediately before that. I think it must've
been something to do with leaning for the turn then
aborting the manoeuvre - the kind of thing that's normally
    subconscious.
