First Race

Dont know where to post this but i have my first race tommorrow. Closed Circuit 1 hour + 5 laps i have a few questions can i buy the licence on the day? It says i can pay on the day so im guessing you can? I was told by a friend that i ride with thats doing it aswell that Cat 1s- Cat 4 will be riding all together what am i expecting tomorrow? Breakaways from Cat1s?

Ok i raced in cat4 and cat3's i came 5th for my first race

It was Crit race on the track. I was just lucky to get in the sprint nearly got 4th place but got beaten by half a metre i found that the sprint was to short it was about 50 metres

Yeah, 50m is a bit short of a sprint. if you need to catch someone, you need enough time/space. Most people try to start a sprint at about 200m out, sometimes even earlier.
