Lenae and Patrick Montemerlo were typical young professionals with mostly sedentary lifestyles who made New Year's resolutions in 2006 to get more exercise and lose weight. But, unlike the 60 to 85 percent of new exercisers who lapse back to the sofa within sixth months, the Montemerlos have become avid athletes and surpassed all of their fitness goals.
