Rider rankings in the FIAC National Points Series are posted at http://www.fiac.us/npsevents.htm .
Competition in the Junior and Master 35+ points series is now complete and all top ten finishers as
shown on the web site will receive medals. Congratulations to Matt Kwapisz (Redline Racing) for
winning the Junior competition with 39 points compared with 21 for second place. Also to Lenny Clapp
(Proctor Hospital), who took the Master 35+ competition with 39 points overall to 33 for the next
rider. Both are American Bicycle Racing (ABR) licensees.

The last NPS event this year, which will determine final NPS rankings for elite men and women and
for Cat. 3s, will be at the Eugene Celebration on September 20-21, which is being organized under
the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA). An invitation to promoters to participate in the 2004
National Points Series will be announced in October.

The Federation of Independent Associations for Cycling (FIAC) and its member associations run
bicycle racing programs that are independent of USA Cycling, the so-called "National Governing Body"
of cycling. For more information about FIAC see http://www.fiac.us . To look into the possibility of
running your future events under its programs, contact one of the member associations listed there.
To look into the possibility of affiliating your racing association with FIAC, contact the president
<[email protected]> or another officer listed at http://www.fiac.us/fiacbod.htm .
