Apologies if this is the wrong forum to post this in, but what the hell!

I'm looking to hire a car for a cycle event in Sweden next month. I want obviously to spend as little as possible so was wondering if anyone owned a peugeot 306 s/wagon or astra s/wagon model, and if so can you fit your road bike (bagged up with wheels off and bars turned) in the back. I'll actually need to fit two in with a couple of rucksacks.

Or is that just stupid and will I need something bigger? A bike rack is not allowed.

Thanks.

Hi
I can get mine quite easily in a Xantia estate with the back seats down, I think its about the same size as a 306 estate.

How about with tha back seats up and just using the boot space, with the parcel shelf out?

I used to own a 306 hatch and could fit two MTBs in, but only with the front wheels off and the rear seats folded down. No way with seats up. Not sure if this helps...
