After about a week of shaping, sanding, bondo-ing, priming, sanding, spot
filling, waxing, etc. I finally got the plug for my hardshell aero storage
tailcone done.
While my fiberglass friend down the street makes the mold and first cone, I
need to make the mounts and fittings. In particular I want a very tight
body to tailcone fit.
Foam seems the best angle.
The closest application I have found is the minicell foam used to fit kayak
interiors to paddlers.
Any suggestions are appreciated
