flight deck computer and shimano st-1055 levers

Hi there,
is there anyone out there who has tried a flight deck computer with a
st-1055 lever set (105 model 8speed hub). Is it possible to get the virtual
cadence to work and gear indicator to work or am i better to go to a cateye
etc
