Hi All,
Could someone explain what "float" is as it relates to
pedals: i.e., Look CX6 (This pedal allows you to set float
at 0°, 3°, 6°, or 9°)?

Float refers to the angle that a pedal may rotate in the
horizontal plane. Non-floating pedals are fixed and do not
rotate at all (float
= °). The Speedplay Zero pedal will let you adjust the
= float, from
° to 15°.The first pedal to popularize float was Time. They may have
also been the first with float. Time pedals have self-
centering action while Speedplay are free float.For some people -- like myself -- float reduces pressure on
the knee. Some people don't like float, some don't need it.
