New for 2008, Iowa Single Speed Bicycles State Championships.

racing starts at 1 pm.
Entry fee $11.
$10 for 1-day USAC license.
events:
1 lap time trial (750 meters)
2 mile race
5 mile race
10 mile race
categories:
Men
Women
Bike Shop challenge (bike shop owners, their family members and employees)
bikes:
Single speeds only!
freewheel and 1 working hand brakes for each wheel as per USCF rules.
no fixies.
no handlebars or attachments that point upwards or forward.
awards:
USA Cycling State Championship medals to top 3 Iowa annual license
holders in each of the events.
Held under USA Cycling event permit #2008-2290.

races? Here is your chance for a sunday afternoon race. Want to try
racing your 1 speeder against other bike racers instead of a cooling
pizza? Here is your chance.
I expect this event will relocate to Bettendorf in 2009.
Come early and watch Dennis Grelk's HPV racing on saturday and sunday
morning at Hawkeye Downs.
