  1. Hi,

Anyone know any good routes in the city? Currently I live in
Fountainbridge so to get out to Arthurs Seat I have to run 2.5 miles
dodging traffic, plus 2.5 back! It's not so bad since I pass through
the Meadows Park, which is a nice place, and I time my runs for non
peak times, but its still a pain. And also I'm looking to vary my
runs.. I often spot a cycle paths from bridges but I have no idea how
to get to them or where they lead to.

Is there a quieter way to get to Arthur's Seat, or even any of the
other hills around the city.. I'd like to do primarily hill runs if
possible, with as little traffic dodging as possible. FYI, the maximum
length of a long run for me at the moment is 9\10 miles.

Oh by the way, a little off topic, but Monday I timed my run badly and
ended up coming home while the kids were on their lunch breaks.. I was
dodging in and out of these morons hanging outside a pizza shop - they
were taking up the whole path, when suddenly this fat kid lunges out
from the shop with a huge pizza slice in his hand. I have fast reflexes
and swerved to dodge him, and never touched him, but needless to say
his reflexes weren't so fast and the pizza slice ended up somewhere
    else..

The screams and verbal abuse that I could hear behind me put a smile on
my face that propelled me to beat my speed target for the week.

I never stopped to look or apologise, for all the obvious reasons. I
kind of feel bad, so Fat Kid, if you're inspired to run some time in
the future and are reading this in google archives I heartily
apologise... hehe. that place makes good pizza.
