I have a Marzocchi Bomber fork with a steerer about 1" too short for my bike.
Can the steerer be replaced at a reasonable cost (say, under $40)?
Thanks,
Steve

Why post here? Why not ask Marzocchi?

If not you can try one of these:
http://www.bbbparts.com/products/bike_parts/headparts/bhp20.htm
They are really good quality. They add some weight but you don't
notice the difference otherwise.

Thanks for the lead. I'll see if they have a distributor in the U.S. None is
listed on their website. BTW, the way I got into this predicament was that my
bike was stolen and recovered (four months later), but the thieves had swapped
forks, installed one with a too short steerer. The good news is that they
arrested one of the 'perps' and it looks like he will be prosecuted.
