After a 2-year hiatus from casual cycling to keep in shape, I have restarted my regimen. Weight gain, and lack of energy and strength aside, I have noticed some physical discomfort when I finish my morning rides.
Firstly, my hands and wrists tend to hurt, and go numb. - I've done my best to keep my wrists and hands in line with my forearms, and I don't lock my arms.
Also, my tail bone kills me - just sitting in a chair during the day at my office is misery. I find this odd, because it wasn't an issue in the past, and when I am riding, I am not really bearing on my tail bone while I ride.
PS: I ride a hybrid bike, not a road bike, in case that matters when giving advice about form.
