This is actually a notice for an old upgrade, but your right about vbulletin being better that any other forum software
I had to convert the yabbse forum to ppbb before, I could convert it to vbulletin. vbulletin was the least messing around of the lot! Some of the post data was messed up in the yabbse => phpbb conversion apart from that it was all smooth
