Found a New Ticking Source

I thought my Italian threaded BB cups were coming loose as I had never
applied lock tight to them as per Phil Wood instructions. I could have
sworn this was the source of my ticking sound whenever I began out of
the saddle climbs. The last time I had gotten rid of the ticking sound
I readjusted the chainline moving it inward a few mm. This time the
ticking was, I thought beginning to come back although having a fainter
sound. As I mentioned earlier I thought it was the BB cups coming
loose, but after removing the cranks and putting the tool to the cups I
found the cups were solidly in place and hadn't budged. By chance I
decided to pull on the downtube cable that actuates the FD and SOB
there was the sound. WTF!?! Upon close examination I discovered that
when pulling on the cable the cable would brush up against the FD
coiled spring causing the ticking sound. So as I surmised when climbing
the frame flex had the same effect as me pulling on the cable. I have
given the FD the proper adjustments and the cable is no longer coming
into contact with the FD coiled spring. Just though I'd post this for
