So as not to conflict with the Chicago Bike Show March 21-23, the ride date has been changed to
SUNDAY, MARCH 30, 2003. Please make a note of it! Because of the CTA's two-bikes-per-train-car
rule, it may be necessary to depart on the Green Line in shifts starting at 9:02 a.m. and regroup
at the Harlem/Lake station, depending on how many riders show up. We will ride rain or shine!

Location: Meet at Ronny's Steakhouse, southwest corner of Clark & Lake for breakfast [optional] at
8:00 a.m. (Ronny's does have vegetarian omelettes, fruit cups, etc.)
Time: Depart Clark/Lake Green Line station 9:02 a.m., 9:12 a.m., 9:22 a.m., etc.
Arrive/Regroup Harlem/Lake Green Line station 9:25 a.m., 9:35 a.m., 9:45 a.m., etc.
Arrive Illinois Prairie Path, 1400 S 1st Ave, Maywood, 10:30 a.m.
Arrive Batavia 1:30 p.m. Optional lunch: El Taco Grande, 6 N River, 630-406-8415
Arrive Geneva 2:00 p.m.
Lunch 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Potter's Place (Mexican), 30 W State, 630-208-1652 Geneva Diner, 14 S
2nd, 630-232-1288
Depart Harlem/Lake Green Line station 6:39 p.m., 6:49 p.m., 6:59 p.m., etc.
Arrive Clark/Lake Green Line station 7:02 p.m., 7:12 p.m., 7:22 p.m., etc.
Surface: The majority of this ride is on the Illinois Prairie Path which is crushed limestone. The
Fox River Trail section is paved. All kinds of bikes should be ok.
Distance: About 70 miles, give or take 5 miles.
Speed: Non-competitive, about 10 m.p.h.
Cost: The ride is FREE. Buy your own breakfast and lunch. Also feel free to pack your own picnic
lunch. The Green Line train fare is $1.50 each way.
