  1. Hi everyone. First post.

Does anyone have any experience repainting a Cannondale? Are there special considerations? I had my old Merckx repainted a long time ago but someone told me that the C'Dale would be different.

    Thanks.

  2. My early 90's 'Dale tandem has some paint chunks knocked out of it, and I was thinking about repainting. Trouble is, the paint looks to be Imron, which will be extremely difficult to sand because it's essentially epoxy glue. If you're really set on a repaint, you may have to chemically strip the frame first.

Thanks. I just bought a 1996 Cannondale on ebay and was wondering about painting it down the road. I think it's in good shape but only seen pics so far. Should be in tomorrow or so.
