Well, Jefferson wasn't going to say England in those days, was he? Perhaps he might have changed his
mind by now?

Yes, there are French- speaking bicycle discussion groups... you'll recognize them by their
rudeness, ethnocentrism, and the little white flags they're constantly unfurling. Regarding the Iraq
situation... let me just say that going to war without France is like deer hunting without an
accordian and my comment about Germany's being reluctant to go to war is well, gee... there's a
first time for everything, isn't there?

p.s. I really don't want to antagonize any French politicians out there though, because I know that
(speaking for both the U.S. and U.K.) you'll be there every time you need us." - my letter to
the New York Times and the BBC

hey, that's great garrison .. but i'm sure there's precious little chance of annoying french
politicians here given that it's nominally a cycling newsgroup.

Doc: Bienvenue a la USENET. Ca, c'est la mode ici. Aussi, la plupart des gens qui ecrire dans
cette groupe croire que c'est seulement pour les Americans, et ils ont obliee que vous etes
aussi American.

Please excuse my poor French, and my lack of accents. I forgot how to make them appear -- and I am
more likely than not to get them wrong, anyway.

Go ahead and ask your questions. But be prepared for at least a little irrelevant conversation.
Considering that the US congress has recently re-named what we call "French fries" (pommes
frites) and now call them "freedom fries" as a protest against France being unwilling to jump on
the invasion bandwagon, you will find a definite lack of rationality in the US towards all
things French.

Since the French routinely bar/change ALL English language words and phrases and have done so
for many years under their "cultural purity" laws, I suppose that means the French are even
less rational!

Yes, Quebec is the homeland of my family and my people since over 350 years (200 years before
the Canadian federation was even created in 1867 by Great Britain), we settled this country,
OUR country.

To me Quebec IS MY country, my NATION within Canada ... which is on it's way toward self
determination.

Ceci etant dit, this is not a "political forum", let's talk "cycling" ! :)
