So Im completely new and in the dark to cycling. And curious as to where I should be in my training. After hours of scouring the net and youtube im at a complete loss. There is a huge gap on training schedules and stages to these. My goals are as such. I am riding for fitness and to ride a few events this summer here in Utah.(a half century, full century and a canyon climb over the mid to late summer.) Currently I am training on a 30 lb gmc road bike I picked up a month ago. http://www.amazon.com/General-Motors-Denali-Road-Bike/dp/B000FDDWB6And yes its heavy exactly 30 pounds. Im only a month into riding and im currently riding 15-20 miles a day averaging 4 minuets 10 seconds a mile. With a elevation change of about 300ft. Please just curious if im on par.
