I recently purchased a pair of used Mavic Cosmos wheels. When I installed the cassette from my old wheel to the new one, there was a hint of slop. I took the cassette off and measured the length of the freewheel. My new freewheel is 1/16" longer than my old one (1 15/32" vs 1 17/32"). My question is do I need to buy a new freewheel or is there a spacer that can be installed?

There are spacers for that specific purpose.
