Anyone know this roundabout? Is it one with a bike lane round the
outside? All the research I've read suggests that they increase the
risk of circulating cyclists being hit by entering motorists, which
seems to be what happened here.

As a reporter on the 7:30 report, he might be a very valuable ally.

is another example where money is wasted on poorly designed
"facilities". If the RTA spent a small proportion of the money
evaluating what is constructed, things might be different.

There is precious little funding for encouraging cycling. Perhaps that
will be difficult to change. But we do have a right to expect that the
limited funds that are available are spent as wisely as possible.
