Friend's Pinarello Galileo

A friend of mine has been looking at the Pinarello Galileo and has asked me about it. He was thinking about getting full ultegra and mavic ksyrium SL SSCs on it, putting it in the $2500 range. He's never been on a carbon bike b4, but says he prefers the feel of aluminum. Any suggestions?

Should be a good quick race bike, with lots of flash. Personnally, I'd skip the ultralight wheels and spend the extra $500 on a Pinarello with the carbon rear stays.....but I'm not a racer and like more ride comfort for long club rides. He can always buy the SL wheelset later and have it as a second set for races or hill climbs.

To me, alot comes down to what you want to do with the bike, and how much you value italian style over the Trek/C'dales. Suggest he test ride some bikes before buying.
