front derailleur braze on problem

I have a Kestrel that I'm using for time trialing. The front
derailleur mounts via a tab that's riveted to the carbon seat tube.
The seat tube itself is not anywhere near round.

My problem is that I cannot raise the front derailleur high enough to
clear the chainring that I want to use. Are there any sort of adaptors
that will allow me to raise the derailleur beyond the limits of the
"braze-on" tab?

Take the tab off and make the slot longer/higher...drill, file,
dremel...not uncommon to have to do this with this type of hanger.
