I've just bought a hybrid bike and thought I'd adjust the front suspension to make them a little softer. However I lost track of how many turns I'd done on one side and then panicked and lost track even more.
I'm wondering if there's any problem if I just keep turning the adjusting knobs to their limit, to get them both equally set? Or could something nasty happen like the whole thing flies apart...? My intuitions tells me that it should be ok if I tighten them, rather than loosen them, but I'm not sure.
The forks are RSR TR Pro II spring types, and the www doesn't have much in the way of maintenance manuals that I can see.
    Thanks, Alpal4

You will encounter no problems whatsover by adjusting either knob to the maximum or minimum pre-load. I would start with both sides turned all the way out (left) and adjust there after as you begin each ride untill you find a comfortable spot.
