2000/2001 M/L Karpiel Armageddon w/ Mr. Dirt Quad Bypass FAT fork and
less than 250 miles. 100% mechanically and 90% cosmetically due to a
small dent on the non-drive side chain stay (it fell over on a rock).
As for the fork, it's been rebuilt & is prefect w/ a new crown (upper
crown says Triple Bypass, but is really a Quad). There is no slop in
the linkage and is absolutely tight and smooth. I used this bike as a
ski area bike and a couple of hike-a-bike rides and has not been
hucked. Parts are as follows:
a. Azonic DW DH bars & stem (60mm), ODI Intense LockOn grips
b. FSA DH Pig Pro lower cup and RaceFace DH SS upper cup
headset (Nice deep insertion w/ the Pig, but the upper
looked too weak so I used a RaceFace stainless steel
one instead)
c. Mr Dirt Quad Bypass FAT fork (rebuilt in March - new 10
wt oil, spring, and upper/lower crown w/ Headlock
compression bolt). This was Mark Weir's old fork.
Bushings and seals are in perfect shape.
d. RaceFace XY Post 27.2mm (cut down), Tioga DH saddle
e. RaceFace BB 120mm Cro-Mo spindle (square taper)
f. RaceFace Turbine LP 180mm cranks (square taper), Azonic
A-Frame platform pedals
g. RaceFace DH ring 42T
h. MRP Worldcup II Chain Guide (modified to fit this frame)
i. XTR 8spd shifter, Avid Flack Jacket (full length), XTR
rr derailleur, XT 11-30 cassette & HG91 Chain (less
than 50 miles)
j. Hayes Hydraulics DH brakes w/ new pads (8" rotors frt &
rr)
k. Mr. Dirt Custom front hub (32 holes) laced to Mavic D321
rims (no dents or flat spots) 3x w/ brass & Stans NoTubes
l. Hugi/Hayes rear hub (36 holes) laced to Mavic D321 rims
(no dents or flat spots) 3x w/ brass & Stans NoTube
m. Intense 2.7 tires #60 w/ less than 50 miles
n. Fox Vanilla RC rear shock w/ 500 lbs Spring. I've
invested over $5k and now need some $$ for school. I'm
asking $2900.00 firm, but you cover shipping. I think
this bike tips the scale at around 55 lbs. I have a digi-
cam and can shoot any angle you want. Let me know what
you want to see and I'll have it for you in one day. I
will also include 2 sets of Gazzi 3.0 (one set is new,
never mounted), another front wheel (Mr Dirt to WTB Laser
DH 32h 3x), and another hub/brake adapter and (5 arm)
spider for Hope, and 2 laced but never ran THE 36h rims
and elastomer strips.
