It's time to thin the herd, so to speak. I have a classic Bridgestone RB-1
for sale.
As best as I can tell, this is a model year 1990 RB-1. The seat tube is
47cm (ctc) witha 51 cm seat tube.
This was purchased for my wife, second hand from Gary V Hobbes in 1999. This
is a very pretty frame built with Ishiwata, triple butted, 4130 tubing. Its
a beautiful red color that has just a hint of pearl to it in bright
sunlight. I cannot find any rust on this bike; (we live in Tucson where one
simply never has to ride in the rain.) There are a few minor paint chips,
but NO dents or dings.
This classic has been modernized. The fork is a 1 inch threaded Kestral EMS
carbon fork. (I never had the original steel one.) Ultegra 9 speed, front
and rear derailleurs, 172.5mm Ultegra triple crankset. Shimano 105 brifters,
head set, brakes and hubs. Hubs are laced to 32 hole Mavic Open Pro rims.
Seatpost, saddle, stem and bars are present, but nothing special.
I can part with this either as a frameset or as a complete bike.
I'd like $350 for the frame, fork, headset and bottom bracket, or $700 for
the whole bike. Prices include shipping within the CONUS
I will entertain offers and have digital photos for the asking.
