I have for sale a hand-built lugged steel road frame made by master builder
Ed Litton. This frame is in excellemt condition with very low miles, no
dents or dings and never crashed. It was built for me, with a 55cm seat
tube and 56cm top tube. Horizontal rear dropouts with adjusting screws,
130MM rear spacing for modern 10 speed components. The frame was built with
long point lugs that are filed very thin, fastback seat cluster and sloping
fork crown all in a mix of Columbus tubing. The top tube has 2 cable stops
at the 7 o'clock position. Italian threaded bottom bracket shell with under
the BB plastic cable guide. The paint is in excellent condition and is a
green to gold fade. The fork has what I'd call a semi-sloping fork crown.
The only paint chips are on the front tips and rear dropouts which you will
not see with wheels installed. I would happily keep this frame but am now
riding a shorter top tube in my old age. I have always owned a couple of
bikes and can assure you this frame is in excellent cosmetic and structural
condition. It is 7 years old but probably has no more than a few thousand
miles on it, if that. Ed Litton will be happy to build you one for only
about $1800, but if this one is your size, $400 plus $40 shipping is a great
deal. You can find some info about Ed Litton via Google or your favorite
search engine, but he has been building steel frames in Northern California
for more than 20 years now. If you happen to live in my neck of the woods,
the San Francisco Bay Area, you can of course pick it up and save the
shipping. Photos available upon request.
